Summer in the North Fork Valley

Summer will officially arrive in a few days and the North Fork Valley is ready to welcome you.  The valley is green and flowers are blooming.  The wineries are open for your tasting pleasure.  Farmers' markets have products made from last year's harvest and will have fresh fruit from local orchards in a week or two.

Like to cycle?  There's no better place than the roads in this area.  Folks come from Europe and Australia just to ride the curves and ups and downs of the Rockies.  Won't you and/or your bike club join them?  The Bross Hotel offers ten rooms with 16 individual beds that is just perfect for a tour group.  If you haven't already done so, now is the time to make your reservation.

Cycling isn't limited to the road.  Great mountain biking is available.  Our local bike club will be happy to point you to their favorite trails.

And, speaking of trails, there are lots of hiking trails.  Try climbing Mt. Lamborn.  Or, climbing into and out of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.  There are impressive trials on the Grand Mesa, too.

The great outdoors awaits you and the North Fork Valley is in the center of it all.  So make the Bross Hotel B&B your headquarters as you explore all the activities the region affords.  Come for a mini-vacation; STAY FIVE NIGHTS AND YOUR FIFTH NIGHT IS FREE.

Wine is Being Poured

The West Elks Wineries have opened for the season.  You are invited to visit them every day from 11 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m.  Make your wine tour a mini-vacation by spending one or more nights at the Bross Hotel B&B where you'll be treated royally.  Enjoy the gardens, relaxing on the balcony, deck, or patio, and the comraderie of your hostess and other guests.

If you enjoy the active life, you'll be right at home in Paonia.  Paonia and the Bross are centrally located for cycling (road and mountain), hiking, and fishing.  And, at the end of the day, enjoy a farm-fresh dinner at a local restaurant.

Paonia is a place to savor - beautiful valley with great food, wine, beer, and hard cider; a plethora of outdoor activities, and an historic lodging for a restful night.  Come visit!
